The Final Meeting [INTERPRETER]

You will meet three times after the initial meeting for updates on the mentee’s goals and to discuss assignments, progress toward or struggles with your goals, and next steps. You can also use this time to ask questions, request specific types of feedback for future assignments, and discuss ethical decision-making. The final meeting with be for closing out the mentorship, and will follow the following steps:

  • Collect LAMP internship badge and any assignment information (place in the shredding bin if printed assignment details have been given to the student, confirm that the information has been deleted if given to the student electronically).
  • Discuss the mentee’s goals and whether they were met.
  • Discuss ideas for continued practice.
  • Discuss upcoming testing goals.
  • Decide whether to continue the relationship as an informal mentor/mentee, as friends, or to disconnect from one another.
